Moments in Life

I am 5 years old in kindergarten. I have a cold. It was story time and I didn't get up to throw them away. I am shoving Kleenex in my desk because I can't throw them away. My desk is getting full. My teacher is mad at me. She is not very nice. She gives me a cold prickly because she says I am being bad.

I am 11 years old and I am trying out for the play Annie. The tryout is going well. I go home and get a call the next week. I got the part. My mom and I drive to Fayetteville every week for practice. All the performances sell out. It is so much fun.

I am 15 years old and trying out for varsity cheer. I am really nervous. This is a big deal. I go and do well. I sit for hours waiting for the results. Hours later the results are on the door. I run to the door. There is my name. I start to scream. I am so excited.

I am 20 years old. I am getting ready for class. I get a call. It is Trish Henry from CNN. She says would you like to come to Atlanta and intern for The Situation Room? I want to scream. I cheerfully say yes. I call my mom and scream. I have never been this excited.
